Claiming a profile is the first administrative step. It does not require payment and it does not mean the gym is GFV Certified.

GFV certification is a separate process for gyms that are ready to be assessed against a higher professional standard. Approved gyms receive the full GFV recognition package: certified platform status, the GFV mark and the Colossus sculpture — the physical symbol of that status.

Step 2 — Manage Multiple Locations

If you operate more than one gym under the same brand or company, you can manage multiple locations from one owner account. Each gym keeps its own profile, public information and GFV status. This matters because every facility must stand on its own standard.

1 Confirm ownership once — confirm ownership for your first gym with official business documents.
2 Add locations under the same business — after ownership is confirmed, you can request additional gyms under the same company without repeating the full ownership process each time. Every added location is still reviewed before it is linked to your account.
3 Manage each gym separately — each location keeps its own profile, details, contact information and public presentation.
4 Each location stands alone — you can apply for GFV assessment location by location. One approved gym does not automatically approve the rest of the chain.

Step 3 — Apply for GFV Certification

Certification is how serious gyms differentiate from the noise. GFV certification is not a participation badge. It is a formal recognition that a gym has been assessed against the GFV standard and approved. This is where a listing becomes more than visibility — it becomes proof that the gym has been measured.

What auditors look for

GFV does not certify a profile. GFV certifies the real gym behind it.

Auditors assess the actual training environment: equipment, hygiene, safety, maintenance, layout, operations, staff professionalism and overall training experience. The main categories and total available points are public, so gym owners can see what is being measured and where they can improve. Some requirements are mandatory. If they are not met, certification cannot be granted.

The detailed scoring method remains internal to protect the integrity of the audit.

Mandatory requirements are the entry conditions for GFV Colossus Certified status. They are not bonus points. If a gym does not meet the mandatory requirements for its category, certification cannot be granted. They cover:

Scored assessment — what sets a gym apart

Once the mandatory requirements are met, the gym moves into the scored GFV assessment. This is where GFV evaluates how far the facility goes beyond the basic standard. Scored areas may include equipment depth, training layout, maintenance consistency, hygiene quality, safety readiness, staff professionalism, coaching strength, member experience, atmosphere, community reputation and additional facility features.

Extra features can improve the result, but they do not replace weak fundamentals. A higher score is earned by gyms that deliver quality consistently in the real training environment — not only by adding more services.

Certification Process

Register

Create your gym owner account and add your basic business details.

Verify ownership

Upload proof that you own or manage the facility. This may include business registration documents, a lease agreement or other accepted proof of operation. Ownership verification is typically reviewed within 1–3 business days.

Apply for GFV assessment

Once your profile is claimed and your information is complete, you can apply for GFV Colossus Certified assessment.

On-site assessment

A trained GFV auditor assesses the facility against the GFV framework, including mandatory requirements and scored categories. On-site assessments may take place during active training hours, so the result reflects the real gym environment.

Report & decision

After the assessment, the gym receives a structured report with category results and the final decision. If the facility meets the required standard, GFV issues the certification agreement.

GFV Colossus Certified

After approval and agreement confirmation, the gym receives GFV Colossus Certified status, the GFV mark and the Colossus recognition package. The certification is valid for 12 months and must be renewed to remain active.

GFV Colossus Certification Application-based pricing

GFV Colossus Certification is a paid assessment and recognition process for gyms that want to be evaluated for GFV Colossus Certified status. Pricing depends on the gym category, facility size, location, assessment format and final recognition package. Certification cannot be purchased directly — a gym must complete the GFV assessment process and meet the required standard.

Approved gyms receive the full GFV recognition package: certified platform status, the GFV mark and the Colossus sculpture with the gym name and unique serial number.

Colossus is not sold separately to uncertified gyms. Full pricing details are provided during the application process.

FAQ for Gyms

My gym is already on GFV — how do I claim it?

Search for your gym in the directory and choose "This is my gym". You will be asked to submit proof that you own or manage the facility, such as business registration documents, a lease agreement or another accepted document. Our team reviews ownership claims before linking the profile to your account.

What if my gym is not listed yet?

If your gym does not appear in the directory, you can request a listing review. Not every gym will appear immediately when GFV launches. Some profiles are created from publicly available information, while others may be added after review.

Does claiming my profile cost anything?

No. Claiming and managing your basic gym profile does not require payment. You can update key public information such as your description, photos, opening hours, contact details and other basic profile details at any time.

Does a claimed profile mean GFV Certified?

No. A claimed profile only means that the gym owner or operator has confirmed ownership and can manage the listing. GFV Certified status is separate and can only be granted after the gym completes the GFV assessment process and meets the required standard.

Do I need to be a certain size to apply for GFV Colossus Certification?

Yes. GFV Colossus Certification is designed for full-format professional gyms. The minimum required training space starts from 500 m², excluding offices, storage, administration and other non-training areas. Larger facilities, including 2,000 m², 5,000 m² or multi-zone flagship gyms, can also apply. Each facility is assessed according to its category, structure and real training environment.

Can I manage multiple gym locations?

Yes. If you operate several gyms under the same brand or company, you can manage multiple locations from one owner account. Each location keeps its own profile, information and GFV status.

Does one certified location certify the whole chain?

No. Each gym location must stand on its own standard. One approved flagship gym does not automatically certify the rest of the chain. Every location must be assessed separately if it wants GFV Colossus Certified status.

What are the mandatory requirements?

Mandatory requirements are the entry conditions for GFV Colossus Certified status. They include areas such as training space, equipment base, free weights, leg training capacity, cardio where relevant, member facilities, hygiene, ventilation, staff, coaching, safety, maintenance, legal operation and clear public information. How do I apply for GFV assessment?

Once your profile is claimed and your gym information is complete, you can apply for GFV assessment through the owner dashboard or by contacting the GFV team. The application does not guarantee certification. It starts the review and assessment process.

What happens during the GFV assessment?

A trained GFV auditor evaluates the real gym environment against the GFV framework. The assessment includes mandatory requirements and scored categories. Auditors look at equipment, hygiene, safety, maintenance, operations, layout, staff professionalism and overall training experience. GFV does not certify a profile. GFV certifies the real gym behind it.

What happens if a gym does not pass the assessment?

The gym receives a report showing where it did not meet the required standard. The facility can improve the identified areas and apply again after the required review period or according to the conditions provided by GFV. A failed assessment does not permanently exclude a gym, but the standard must be met before certification can be granted.

Can I dispute an assessment result?

Yes. If you believe the assessment result was inaccurate, you can request a review. GFV will examine the request and decide whether a follow-up review or additional assessment is justified. The exact terms are covered in the certification agreement.

Is there a monthly platform fee?

No. There is no monthly platform fee for public listings or claimed profiles in the current version. GFV Colossus Certification is a separate paid assessment and recognition process for gyms that apply to be evaluated.

How is GFV Colossus Certification priced?

GFV Colossus Certification uses application-based pricing. Pricing depends on the gym category, facility size, location, assessment format and final recognition package. Certification cannot be purchased directly. A gym must complete the GFV assessment process and meet the required standard. Full pricing details are provided during the application process.

Is the Colossus sculpture part of GFV certification?

Yes. When a gym earns GFV Colossus Certified status, it receives the full recognition package: certified platform status, the GFV mark and a unique Colossus sculpture with the gym name and serial number. Colossus is the physical symbol of that status, not a separate public product.

Can any gym buy the Colossus sculpture?

No. Colossus is not sold separately to uncertified gyms. A gym must complete the GFV assessment process and meet the required standard before it can receive GFV Colossus Certified status and the Colossus recognition package.

What happens to Colossus if certification expires?

The sculpture remains with the gym, but the right to present it as an active GFV status symbol ends when certification is no longer valid. If the gym renews certification within the required period, the status becomes active again. Gyms that continue presenting expired certification as active will be handled according to the certification agreement.

Do members have to contact me through GFV?

No. Your profile can show your normal contact details, such as phone, email, website and social links. GFV does not force members to contact you through the platform. Owner Verified profiles also include an optional in-platform message button — those messages land in your owner dashboard.

Will GFV charge fees on memberships, bookings or member sign-ups?

No. GFV is a certification and discovery platform, not a membership broker. GFV does not process gym memberships, bookings or member payments, and it does not take a commission from your members.
